Established in 2005, 2Weeks 2Make It is the North of England’s premier music video challenge. It randomly teams up cutting edge filmmakers with the north’s up and coming musical talent, and gives them the challenge to make a music video in just two weeks! The Gala Screening will bring together all the participants and showcase the final, finished results of the challenge on the big screen. Members of the audience can meet the filmmakers and bands, and vote for their favourite for the ‘Audience Award’; and the panel of judges will award their winner with top prize of £1000.

2Weeks 2Make It is organised by the South Yorkshire Filmmakers Network.

‘THE BEAT IS THE LAW’ DVD LAUNCH

To celebrate the release of the Beat is the Law 80’s special edition on DVD, there will be a special 80’s House launch event held at The Leadmill, Sheffield on 29th April featuring:

RuthJoy (Krush)
Winston Hazel (Jive Turkey/Forgemasters)
two Sheffield artists who played an influential role in the birth of the UK House movement, playing House Arresting tracks that shaped their own sound and in turn playing tracks by current UK artists influenced by the Fonetic beats mastered all those years ago that continue to resonate to this day.

Ralph Razor (Razor Stilleto/Space Cabaret) will also be in the mix playing more essential 80’s tunes.
Plus the Sensoria crew will be there celebrating the festival end.
All in all a right Sheffield knees-up.
